Lactate party in the Olympic Park: peak times and party atmosphere despite rain

Last Friday, Munich's Olympic Park was once again the setting for the Lactate Party. Despite the changeable weather, the runners were not discouraged and created a great atmosphere and achieved numerous personal best times.

Right from the start, the starting area around the huge Salomon event truck was filled with motivated participants. The light rain did not dampen the anticipation - the atmosphere was full of energy and everyone was ready to run the 5-kilometer circuit twice as fast as possible. As usual, the route led through the most beautiful corners of the Olympic Park.

In addition to the actual run, the Lactate Party had a lot more to offer. For those who wanted a personal look, there was the option of having their own shirts printed. Special race nails were also offered on site, which many participants were happy to take advantage of.

The 10 km run had everything from personal best times to relaxed laps where the focus was on fun. The fighting spirit of the runners, who were not deterred by the conditions, was particularly impressive. With times of 31:45 minutes for Sven Perleth and 35:56 minutes for Charlotte Veitner-Rösch - who also had the highest lactate value of the evening at 9.0 mmol/l - there were two extremely strong winners in both the men's and women's races. For those who were a little slower, there were always opportunities to enjoy the atmosphere and be carried along by the other participants.

Despite the mixed weather, the atmosphere was great and the best runners were duly celebrated at the final awards ceremony. We are already looking forward to the next edition - hopefully in better weather!
